Women of Hope
Women of Hope, the Women's Ministry of Pacific Hope Church, is part of the entire discipleship ministry of Pacific Hope Church. We exist to encourage and equip women to think and live according to the Word of God. Our desire is that every woman would know Christ personally and fulfill the Lord's requirement to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).
Under the direction and oversight of the elders, Women of Hope is led by Melissa Kirkham, Roxi Leeder, and Ruthann Schroeder. Each month, they meet with the Women of Hope Ministry Team for the sake of accountability, leadership development, prayer, and planning.
Although we are on a break from our weekly Bible study, there is still much going on over the summer:
If you are newer to Pacific Hope Church, or have yet to complete our foundational study, Women's Ministry in the Local Church, plan to join us on Saturday, July 26 from 8 AM-noon in the Youth Room. In addition to discussing a biblical perspective of womanhood, we will cover topics such as sumbmission, serving, and community. Stop by the Information Booth after service to pick up your book, and please read it prior to our class.
All women are invited to join us for our fellowship event the evening of Tuesday, August 26. We will have a clothing exchange as well as a message based on 1 Peter 3:3. This will give our women the opportunity to 'freshen up' their wardrobe, either by donating their gently used clothing and accessories, or simply joining us for fellowship and allowing us to bless you! We highly encourage you to contact Karen Clark to drop off your donation within the next couple of weeks so items can be sorted and set up in an orderly manner prior to our event. This event is open to women of all ages and stages of life, so don't forget to invite a friend!
Mark your calendars! Our Annual Women of Hope retreat will once again be held at the Ayres Hotel in beautiful Laguna Woods September 5-7 and is sure to fill quickly. This year's theme is Seasons of Life. Are you content with the season of life the Lord has you in? Join us as we examine the lives of several women throughout the Scriptures and learn what it means to have godliness with contentment (1 Timothy 6:6).
